Will We Ever Know?
This week my sister graduated high school. This is supposed to be one of the most monumental, exciting events in someones life. And it was. But, as my family is much accustomed too, life has a funny way of turning things around on us at the worst possible moment.
This morning, one of my sisters good friends passed away. He was drinking at the beach, and was walking home. He fell off of a ledge and hit his head and unfortunately passed away. It’s just so unfair that this happened now, the day after grad. What makes it worse is that he was being responsible and not driving, just walking home because he was drinking. It’s just not fair.
I’ll never understand the way the world works. He was just a kid, 17 years old. To die after such a happy day. Now everyone will have this amazing milestone marred by this is just not fair. It’s stuff like this that makes me doubt religion. If there was a God, why would he let things like this happen? It’s just not fair.
So I’m going to be a rock for my sister, and let her know that I’m here. I love her more than life itself, and she knows I’ve got her back. So if there are any religious people reading this, please send your prayers to the family and friends of Clark Elder. Rest In Peace buddy. I’ll always remember your smile, and the way you said “Yep”.
